The fastest 4 door in the world 1971! Produced between May – November in 1971 there were only 300 XY GTHO Phase III ever made. It is an Australian automotive legend that left an indelible mark in the annals of high-performance cars.
Fueled by a 351 Cleveland engine, propelling it to a remarkable top speed of 142mph (225km/h).
Affectionately nicknamed the “Shaker,” the XY GTHO earned its moniker from the characteristic shaking of the bonnet during idling, a visual testament to the sheer power lying beneath.
The XY GTHO etched its place in history with a victory at Bathurst in the 1971 Hardie-Ferodo 500.
